AUTOMATIC GRAVIMETRIC DISPENSING SYSTEMS Automatic Ink Paint Chemical Dispensing, Dispenser & Blending Systems for Fluids, Liquids & Paste |

Products are stored in canisters, barrels, tanks or other appropriately sized containers. These products are drawn from their storage containers using a suction line and a pump, typically a pneumatic double diaphragm pump, but optionally an electric unit or 'press-out' or 'ram' type pumps for extremes of viscosity.
The pump delivers the product to the dispenser through flexible or solid pipe lines. Each product has its own dedicated pump, delivery line and precision dispense valve. Typically each product also has a re-circulation loop to pump material around and back into the storage container, this maintains the materials suspension and prevents any settling out, etc. The product is recirculated automatically on a timed basis. This is especially useful if the system is not operated overnight or over a weekend. |
Product is dispensed from the dispense valves in accordance with a formula or recipe - stored in the management software system (Rexson Impress). The dispense valves weigh out the products into a vessel - typically a bucket. The bucket locates on a precision weighscale which feeds back weight information to the dispenser controlling the valve operation.
To achieve the high degree of accuracy required, the dispense valve needs to open and close in a fraction of a second. The Rexson solid state control system allows for valve open and close cycle times of under 30 milliseconds!
By allowing the valve to open fully – giving a high flow rate – before progressively slowing product delivery down to an optimum flow level, the system throughput and accuracy can be maximised.
As the target weight is approached, the valve delivery reduces to allow only controlled drops of liquid into the dispense receptacle, until the target weight has been satisfied. |
Such tight control over input is difficult to achieve with other dispense methods such as volumetric equipment, which can be affected by such variables as temperature, viscosity and aeration.
Rexson has invested extensively into the continual development and improvement of gravimetric technology. In recent years significant progress has been made in the area of control technology, with dispense valves being operated using Rexson solid-state control systems, designed and manufactured in-house. The improvements in our control technology has resulted in the simplest, most reliable and inexpensive dispense valve technology. |
All our dispensers come equipped with our latest software, Rexson Impress. The new benchmark in Dispenser Management Software, Rexson Impress is the only software to realise the full cost effectiveness of gravimetric dispensing, as well as giving you more control over your operating system than any other IMS package available.
